It is hereby disclosed and understood that the fee collected by Northern Moving Systems is a broker fee. This fee compensates Northern Moving Systems for coordinating and securing a fully licensed and insured motor carrier to transport your household goods and possessions. Carrier charges are to be paid C.O.D. (Cash on Delivery) by you, the customer, directly to the independently owned and operated carrier. These payments will be made in two parts: the first half upon pickup and the second half upon delivery at your destination address.
Northern Moving Systems does not collect or share in the carrier’s fees, nor does it participate in the transportation or handling of your property.
You acknowledge and agree that these are separate transactions between you and the assigned motor carrier, a distinct business entity. As our services begin immediately upon booking, all broker fees are non-refundable after 72 hours from the time of signing the agreement or Bill of Lading, with no exceptions.
In accordance with U.S. Code 49 CFR § 375.505(h), any estimate or order may not be canceled, and deposits will not be refunded outside the three-day window or once the mover has begun performing any services. These services include but are not limited to: packing, loading, storage, transportation, or arrival at the pickup or delivery location. Once the customer’s property has been loaded onto the moving truck, cancellation is no longer permitted under any circumstance.
Additionally, please note the following terms:
All deposits, fees, or other payments made to Northern Moving Systems are non-refundable.
Customers may request a change to their scheduled pickup date if the request is made at least five (5) days in advance of the originally agreed-upon pickup date.
All deposits are valid for a period of twenty-four (24) months from the date of the initial reservation and may be applied toward a rescheduled move within that timeframe.

Please note that Northern Moving Systems is a moving company and a licensed interstate broker. Northern Moving Systems will coordinate and arrange for the transportation of household goods through FMCSA-authorized motor carriers when subcontracted. These carriers are independent and operate under their own published tariffs, which determine all estimated and final charges. Tariffs are available for inspection from the carrier upon reasonable request. All pricing, discounts, and service terms are subject to the specific motor carrier’s policies and availability.
